Michael O'Brien

Michael O'Brien is an experienced aviation professional with a diverse background in both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. O'Brien served as a Falcon 20 Aircraft Commander at the Coast Guard Aviation Training Center from June 1998 to June 2002, leading missions in search and rescue, law enforcement, and logistics. Prior to this, O'Brien held the position of Naval Engineer aboard the USCGC POLAR STAR from June 1989 to June 1991, managing ship operations in extreme environments. Currently, O'Brien is a helicopter pilot and captain at PHI Aviation, specializing in offshore transportation using models like the H160 and AW139 since November 2011. Additional roles include instruction at Training Wing Five and flight training at multiple aviation organizations. O'Brien’s educational background includes studies at the City University of Seattle from 1995 to 2000.
