Abigail Loneker

Abigail Loneker is a Biocompatibility Engineer currently working as a Senior Biological Safety Engineer at Philips. They recently completed a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where they focused on mechanical stresses in fatty liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma, while also mentoring students and developing public-facing science exhibits. Abigail has 8.5 years of preclinical research experience, notably in regenerative medicine, biomaterials, and tissue mechanics, and has published four peer-reviewed articles, contributing to both national and international scientific discourse. They also have significant industry experience in mechanical testing of vascular conduits.
