Akivia Rivera

Akivia Rivera has extensive experience in quality assurance and regulatory roles within the medical device industry. Currently serving as the Head of Quality for Philips' MRI business since August 2024, Akivia previously held the position of Senior Director of Quality and Regulatory at Teledyne DALSA, overseeing the X-Ray division from June 2022 to August 2024. Prior experience at Philips includes the role of Director of Quality Assurance for Mother and Childcare and Consumer Health businesses from January 2019 to June 2022. Akivia began the career at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, progressing through several quality and design assurance positions from March 2011 to December 2018. Earlier roles included Quality Engineer at Medtronic and Project Engineer at Nypro Healthcare Baja. Akivia holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, alongside prior educational experience at Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes.
