Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith has extensive experience in quality management and assurance within the medical devices industry. Smith began as a Q.A. Engineer at Abbott Diabetes Care from 2006 to 2008, providing quality support and conducting investigations for non-conformances. Smith transitioned to management roles, serving as the Final Release Group Supervisor and later as Q.A. Manager at ConvaTec and PAUL HARTMANN Pty Ltd from 2009 to 2014, where responsibilities included overseeing QMS compliance and conducting management review meetings. From December 2014 to April 2023, Smith worked as a Quality and Regulatory Specialist at Philips Healthcare, managing the transition of QMS certification to ISO 13485:2016. Currently, as QMS Manager at Philips since May 2023, Smith oversees the ANZ quality management system and maintains certification standards.
