Daniel Brean

Daniel Brean is an accomplished Intellectual Property Attorney and academic, serving as the Intellectual Property Expert in Residence at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University since 2023. Previously, they held positions as Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at Philips and Of Counsel at The Webb Law Firm, among other roles. Daniel has extensive teaching experience, having been an Assistant Professor of Law at The University of Akron and an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. They earned a Juris Doctor in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University. Daniel also completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
