Karen Powell is a Lead Design Quality Assurance Engineer at Philips, bringing over twenty-seven years of experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on Quality Assurance for the past twenty-one years. They have a comprehensive background in design controls, regulatory planning, and compliance with FDA and ISO standards. Previously, Karen has held various roles, including Quality Systems Supervisor at Haemonetics and Quality Assurance Engineer at General Electric Health Care. They are currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, complementing their M.S. in Management and Technology from Carlow University. Throughout their career, Karen has demonstrated expertise in leading cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting critical FDA response CAPAs.
