Kees Bakker

Principal System Engineer

Kees Bakker is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in mechanical design and systems engineering, primarily within the Philips organization. Starting as a draftsman at Philips Display Components from 1995 to 2000, Kees quickly advanced to Senior Mechanical Engineer, leading the development of production equipment for color picture tubes. From 2002 to 2010, Kees served as Senior Mechanical Designer at Philips Medical Systems, focusing on medical electrical equipment. A project manager at LG-Philips Displays from 2000 to 2002, Kees initiated and led developments aimed at improving production processes. From 2010 to 2015, Kees worked as a Technical Team Lead at Philips Medical Systems, overseeing multiple technical disciplines. Since January 2018, Kees has held various roles including Platform Architect and Principal System Engineer at Philips, directing the architecture and systems engineering of medical interventional X-ray equipment. Kees holds degrees in Informatics from Hanze and Mechanical Engineering from Windesheim.
