Marjel Quekel

Marjel Quekel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and operations. Currently serving as the Head of Strategy and Operations for Philips Ventures since May 2021, Marjel previously held the position of Head of Digital Assets at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. from September 2019 to December 2020, where responsibility included driving bank-wide innovation in digital assets. At Rockstart from June 2017 to August 2019, Marjel served as COO, Accelerate Director, and Director of Artificial Intelligence, contributing to the creation of Europe's first AI-focused accelerator. Earlier roles include COO at In The Window™ and Eighty-two, Operations Manager at Emirates, and various wine professional positions. Marjel's educational background includes entrepreneurship and innovation studies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School Executive Education.
