Megan DeBari is a Senior Biological Safety Engineer at Philips and a postdoctoral research fellow in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University. With a focus on silk biomaterials for tissue regeneration, Megan has developed innovative solutions such as an acoustically sensitive silk biomaterial and a 3D adipose tissue model. They earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in Materials Science and Engineering and Zoology from the University of Florida. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Marketing Fellow at the University of Florida Office of Technology Licensing and conducting research in various engineering roles.
