Rob Gielen is a goal-oriented enthusiast passionate about technology, currently serving as the lead architect for IGT systems at Philips. With a solid academic foundation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, including a Ph.D. obtained with honors, Rob previously contributed as a mechatronic designer and software architect within Philips Healthcare. They held visiting researcher positions at UC Santa Barbara and Supelec, focusing on driveline oscillations in cars and networked control systems, respectively. Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with their two kids, running marathons, and riding a race bike in the sun.
