Wei Lu is currently a Principal Clinical Scientist at Philips, having taken on this role in 2025. They previously served at Philips as a Systems Design Engineer from 2012 to 2020, where they led various imaging and optimization projects. Wei has extensive research experience, having worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington from 2007 to 2012, and at the Britton Chance Center from 2004 to 2007. Wei earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Ultrasound from the University of Washington, following a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Optoelectronics Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
