Avery Carson is currently a Senior Counsel specializing in Environmental & Regulatory matters at Phillips 66, a position held since 2025. Prior to this role, Avery served as Environmental Director at Marathon Oil Corporation and as a Senior Attorney focusing on environmental law at Marathon Oil Company from 2012 to 2017. Avery began their legal career as an Associate at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP between 2008 and 2012. They earned a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2004.
