One or both of the principals' respective speciality disciplines are fundamental and critical in the vast majority of client representations.  Steve is Board Certified in Tax Law while Josh is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law (both certifications issued by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization).  Beyond their specific board certifications, however, both are experienced in a wide variety of individual and entity transactions, both domestically and internationally.

Combining their experience and acumen with state-of-the art technology skills and tools, they deliver legal services in a unique and enjoyable way, providing ready access to sophisticated legal counsel in complex and relevant areas of business and investment law.  

Phillips Golden is fairly classified as an "independent" boutique firm.  They do not attempt to provide every legal service its clients might need, but, instead, are free to refer to their network of like-minded professionals, both within and without the legal profession.  Their view is that the most qualified lawyer or other professional for their client's problem might well be across the street as opposed to down the hall.
