Amanda Kelsheimer, LCSW, is an experienced therapist currently working at The Center for Connection, Healing, and Change since July 2022 and also serves as a Family Counselor at PHILLIPS Programs for Children and Families, providing intensive in-home counseling and instructing parenting classes. Amanda's prior experience includes roles as a social work intern at Frederick County Adult Detention Center and as a social worker at Woodbine Healthcare & Rehab, where Amanda contributed to interdisciplinary assessments and care plans. Additionally, Amanda has served as a social work extern at The Women's Center, a leisure coach for Fairfax County Park Authority, and an instructional assistant in special education settings. Amanda holds a Master of Social Work from Simmons University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from George Mason University, complemented by an Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Northern Virginia Community College.
