Carsten Liess

Carsten Liess is the Clinical Science Director of Imaging at Philips Europe, where they focus on driving healthcare innovation and clinical adoption in radiology. Previously, Carsten served as a Senior Imaging Research Scientist at AstraZeneca, managing MR methods and collaborations in drug development. Carsten also held various positions at Philips, including Head of Clinical Science DACH and co-chair of the Icarus radiology education platform. They earned a DPhil in Biomedical Physics from the University of Oxford and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Kiel, leading MR physics initiatives.
