Dave Bates

Dave Bates is a collaborative executive leader in the imaging sector with extensive experience in healthcare technology. Currently serving as the Business Leader for Imaging at Philips since August 2016, Bates manages the digital imaging portfolio and engages with senior executives within healthcare systems across Canada. Previous roles include National Leader for Strategic Partnerships at Philips, where responsibilities included negotiating major agreements and drafting national strategies, and Director of Sales for iThera Medical, overseeing optoacoustic imaging platforms in North America. Bates has a strong background in sales management and market development, having held positions at Sofie Biosciences and FUJIFILM VisualSonics, where notable achievements include launching a groundbreaking photoacoustic imaging system. Academically, Bates earned an MSc in Cellular and Physiological Sciences from The University of British Columbia and a BSc in Cell Biology from Western University.
