Lars Schmitt

Lars Schmitt is an accomplished R&D Group Leader specializing in Algorithm & Data Science at Philips since April 2020, where responsibilities include managing the development of physiological measurement algorithms for patient monitoring products. Previously, Lars held various leadership positions at Philips, including Team Lead for Patient Care Measurements and Product Owner for Hemodynamic Measurements. From August 2017 to March 2020, Lars served as Director and International Technical Project Leader for Digital Health at Grünenthal Group, overseeing the development of digital health innovation projects. Lars also has an extensive background at Philips as a Senior Scientist and Research Scientist, contributing to early innovation projects and international standardization efforts in eHealth. Holding a Dr.-Ing. from RWTH Aachen University and a Dipl.-Ing. from Ruhr University Bochum, Lars has also chaired task forces at Continua Health Alliance, focusing on interoperability guidelines.
