Michael Zhang is currently the R&D Director of Solid State Lighting (LED) at Signify, a role they have held since 2010. Prior to this, they served as an Engineering Manager and later as the Director of Engineering at Philips Lighting from 1997 to 2005. Michael is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago, and holds both a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
