Senior Vice President, Head Of Commercial Business at Philly Shipyard

Thomas Grunwald (b. 1978) joined Philly Shipyard, Inc. in the role of Senior Consultant in May 2019 before being promoted in July 2020 to Commercial Director. In September 2021, he was elevated to his current position of Vice President in which he is responsible for sales and business development for commercial ship newbuilding and ship repairs, as well as shipyard capital investments. Mr. Grunwald has significant experience in leadership, strategic planning and operational finance, and the shipbuilding and automotive industries. He previously held the position of President and Board Member at R&M Ship Technologies USA, Inc. which included oversight of the company’s U.S. ship newbuilding and repair activities in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Oregon. Mr. Grunwald holds a Diploma in Business Administration with the specialization in International Business Administration from the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt, Germany. He is a German citizen. As of 1 February 2023, Mr. Grunwald holds zero shares in the company and has no stock options.
