Scott Evanson is a seasoned professional in the startup and technology sectors, currently serving as a Venture Partner at Philo Ventures since October 2023, focusing on investments in B2B SaaS across Insurtech, Automotive, Martech, and Proptech. As Director for the BYU Cohort of Sandbox since July 2022, Scott oversees the recruitment and operation of a software startup incubator for undergraduate students. Previously, Scott co-founded Data Spark, Inc., which was acquired by Threecolts in 2023, and played a key advisory role at the BYU Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology from January 2019 to August 2022. Scott's experience includes leading product development at Randall-Reilly during significant company growth from 2018 to 2022 and co-founding and serving as CEO of Smart Rhino Labs, which was also acquired by Randall-Reilly. Early in the career, Scott held various operational and management roles, including project direction for humanitarian efforts and managing a group home for individuals with disabilities. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Business from Brigham Young University.
