Michael Belby

Michael Belby has extensive work experience in the legal field, with their most recent role being Principal Counsel for Content Acquisition & Business Development at Philo since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at NBA Properties, Inc. as Associate Vice President & Senior Associate Counsel - Media from September 2018 to August 2021. Before that, they held various roles at Dish Network, including Senior Corporate Counsel (Programming) from April 2017 to August 2018, Corporate Counsel (Programming) from January 2015 to March 2017, and Corporate Counsel (Commercial) from October to December 2014. Michael began their legal career as an Associate at Hogan Lovells from September 2011 to September 2014 and also worked as an Associate at Hunton & Williams LLP from September 2007 to August 2011.

Michael Belby received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University in 2002. Michael then went on to graduate from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2007, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Michael also holds additional certifications including the Colorado Bar from the Supreme Court of the State of Colorado and the D.C. Bar from The District of Columbia Bar.
