Monica Rodriguez

Monica Rodriguez has a diverse work experience in motion design and graphic illustration. Monica began their career as a Graphic Artist and HAAS School of Business Mentor at the University of California, Berkeley, where they developed innovative designs and led workshops for students. Monica then worked as a Graphic Illustrator and Design Gallery staff at San Francisco State University.

In 2017, Monica joined John McNeil Studio as a Junior Motion Designer and later became a Motion Designer. Monica played a key role in improving motion design standards, managing seasonal staff and freelancers, and creating impactful designs for various mediums. Monica also had short-term roles at Able Crew and West as a Motion Designer.

More recently, Monica worked at Philo as a Motion Designer/Editor, where they served as both a Lead Motion Designer/Editor and Motion Designer/Editor. Currently, they are working at Skycar Creative as a Motion Designer.

Monica Rodriguez earned a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication Design with a minor in Animation from San Francisco State University between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Contra Costa College from 2011 to 2015. In 2008 to 2010, Monica participated in the Y.E.A.H Program (now Boost@HaasBerkeley) at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, but their field of study during this time is unknown.
