Lorizzo Katia

Lorizzo Katia has a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in various roles and companies. Lorizzo is currently serving as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Philogen S.p.A., a position they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Novartis Oncology from 2020 to 2022, where they held the role of Therapeutic Area Head BC and TCO Italy, leading the Italian TCO team and contributing to the diverse pipeline. Before that, they were the Director of Medical Affairs Oncology Italy at MSD from 2016 to 2020. Lorizzo Katia began their education at the Università degli Studi di Milano in 1995, where they earned a laurea in medicina e chirurgia (degree in medicine and surgery) in 2001. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a specialization in oncologia medica (medical oncology) at the Scuola di specializzazione in oncologia presso Università degi studi di Milano from 2001 to 2005. Following their specialization, they enrolled at the Universita degli studi di Torino from 2010 to 2014 to pursue a Dottorato in oncoologia umana (PhD in human oncology).

In addition to their formal education, Lorizzo Katia obtained a certification in "Learning to Be Assertive" from LinkedIn in February 2021.
