Robert Steele

Robert Steele is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer at PHINIA since July 2023. With a long tenure at Purdue University as a member of the College of Technology ECET Industrial Advisory Board since 1995 and previous roles as an adjunct professor, Robert has demonstrated a commitment to education. An active public servant, Robert has held various elected positions, including member of the Madison County Council, Frankton-Lapel School Corporation Board, and Lapel Town Council. Previously, Robert worked at BorgWarner Inc. as an Alternator Senior Staff Engineer and held multiple engineering roles at Remy International, Guide Corporation, EDS Group, and Delphi Automotive Systems. Educational achievements include an MBA from Purdue University, a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Technology from Purdue University.
