Simon Godwin

Simon Godwin currently serves as the Vice President of Government Affairs at PHINIA, where responsibilities include representing the company on global legislative and regulatory issues while advising senior management on government policy. Prior to this role, Simon founded and directed Pulse Europe Policy & Communications, providing consulting expertise in automotive and energy policy. Experience at BorgWarner Inc. involved advocating on European policy matters relating to CO2 emissions and pollutant standards. Simon has held significant positions in various organizations, including Chairman of the Impact Assessment Institute and Executive Director of the European Council for Automotive R&D. Previous roles at Daimler AG and DaimlerChrysler encompassed management of energy, environment, and transport policies. Simon holds a BA and MA in Physics from the University of Oxford, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, and has studied at the University of Denver.
