Walter Piock

Walter Piock is a Senior Director of Product Engineering at PHINIA, a position held since 2023. Previously, Walter served as the Director of Product Engineering at BorgWarner from 2020 to 2023 and held multiple engineering roles at Delphi Technologies, including Global Chief Engineer for Gasoline Fuel Injection Systems. Walter's career also includes significant contributions at AVL as a Research and Senior Development Engineer focused on Gasoline Direct Injection and previous experience as an Assistant at the Institute for Internal Combustion Engines and Thermodynamics at Technische Universität Graz. Walter earned a Master’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Graz, in addition to completing a Matura in Werkzeug- und Werkzeugmaschinenbau at Höhere technische Bundeslehranstalt Fulpmes, Austria.
