Dr. Marshall Summar, M.D. is a distinguished Medical and Biochemical Geneticist and the Chief Executive Officer of Uncommon Cures, LLC, where they focus on advancing clinical trials for rare diseases. Previously, Dr. Summar led the Division of Genetics and Metabolism at Children's National from 2010 to 2022, founding the Rare Disease Institute, the first dedicated center for clinical care of patients with genetic rare diseases. They have contributed significantly to the field with over 170 peer-reviewed publications and more than 120 international patents.
