Gareth Watt

Gareth Watt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in human resources and talent acquisition. Gareth is currently Chief People Officer at PHMG, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Gareth worked as the Director of People & Culture at PHMG from October 2021 to March 2023. Before joining PHMG, they served as the Head of Talent Acquisition and Development at the same company from November 2018 to October 2021.

Before their time at PHMG, Gareth worked at Dentsu Aegis Network, where they held several roles including Head of Recruitment from November 2014 to June 2018. Gareth also served as the Head of HR Operations and Head of Talent Acquisition at Dentsu Aegis Network.

Gareth's earlier experiences include roles at Barclaycard as a Resourcing Expertise Lead, at Barclays as a Resourcing Advisor, at MyTravel Airways as an Intranet Designer, and at First North Western as a Design Assistant.

Through their work experience, Gareth has developed a strong background in people management and talent acquisition, and they have had the opportunity to lead teams and work on various projects.

Gareth Watt obtained a BSc in Microbiology from The University of Manchester, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Medicine (MBChB) at The University of Manchester from 1999 to 2000. In addition to their academic qualifications, Gareth Watt also holds a Black Belt Certificate obtained from Social Talent in November 2016.
