Phoenix Education Foundation is an Alberta-accredited independent K–9 school in Calgary.

We are a publicly funded, non-profit organization offering custom education aligned with the Alberta Education curriculum. Our educational model emphasizes curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement with learning.

Phoenix operates as a collaborative community of educators, families, and volunteers who value thoughtful practice, shared responsibility, and strong relationships. Our work is grounded in a commitment to supporting students academically, socially, emotionally and physically.

As an independent school, Phoenix delivers Alberta Education–aligned programming within a non-traditional learning environment designed to support active, inquiry-based learning. Educators work within established systems and curricular requirements while applying flexible, student-centred approaches that support meaningful learning.
