Andy Smith

Andy Smith is an experienced legal professional specializing in M&A and corporate transactions. Currently serving as the Head of Legal for Corporate Transactions and M&A at Phoenix Group since October 2023, Andy has held senior legal counsel positions at Athora Holding Ltd. from March 2018 to September 2023, and prior to that, worked as an Associate Solicitor at Slaughter and May from September 2012 to March 2018. Andy's career began with an internship at Clifford Chance LLP in July 2009. Academically, Andy holds a degree from the University of Bristol and completed studies at BPP Law School, focusing on law from 2010 to 2012, following a comprehensive education at Sevenoaks School, where an International Baccalaureate was obtained.
