Craig Smith

Craig Smith currently serves as the Head of Commercial at Phoenix Group, a position held since June 2019. Prior to this role, Craig spent nearly 18 years at Standard Life Aberdeen, where responsibilities included setting policy for unit-linked funds and overseeing their operations as the Head of Unit-Linked Governance. Earlier positions at Standard Life Aberdeen involved extensive work as a Unit Linked Actuary and Reporting/Valuation Actuary, focusing on fund pricing, statutory valuation, and regulatory returns. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Actuarial Mathematics from Heriot-Watt University, obtained between 1997 and 2001, and completed secondary education at Dollar Academy from 1990 to 1997.
