Stuart McWatt

Stuart McWatt currently serves as the Director of Investment Operations at Phoenix Group since November 2022. Prior to this, Stuart held the position of Head of Investment Operations Transformation at Aviva, leading a £12m transformation program to simplify the operating model and IT architecture. Stuart also served as Head of Investment Operations at Aviva and Friends Life UK, overseeing significant funds and shaping operational strategies post-acquisition. Previous experience includes leadership roles at Alico/MetLife, where Stuart focused on wealth management and operational strategy, and at HBOS, managing a large Life and Pensions operation. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Management Control from Sheffield Hallam University, along with CFA Level 2 and an Investment Management Certificate.
