Yoni Afework has extensive experience in basketball operations and coaching, currently serving as a Player Programs Coordinator and Video Coordinator for the Phoenix Suns since July 2023. Previous roles include Head Video Coordinator for the South Bay Lakers and the Seattle Storm, and Basketball Operations Coaching Associate for the Los Angeles Lakers. Yoni has been a part of USA Basketball support staff for various training camps and served as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the University of Memphis Men's Basketball team. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Sports Commerce from the University of Memphis and an MBA in Business Intelligence/Analytics from Nova Southeastern University. Yoni’s coaching success includes leading teams to back-to-back state championships and a nationally ranked program during tenure at NSU University School.
