Philipp Stahl

Philipp Stahl is a Technical Project Lead at Phoenix-Wings GmbH, focusing on the PW.Orca unmanned fixed-wing VTOL cargo drone since November 2020. Responsibilities include coordination of aircraft design and testing, as well as organizing the supply chain and production. Previously, Philipp served as the Lead Aircraft Design Engineer, where tasks encompassed requirements engineering, aircraft configuration design, and detailed design analysis. Philipp’s academic background includes a PhD candidacy and research assistant role at the Technical University of Munich from 2015 to 2020, concentrating on configuration optimization for electric unmanned aircraft and developing an unmanned demonstrator for flutter control. Early experience includes roles at the Technical University of Munich, IABG, and an internship at LTB AirBeck, along with degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and McGill University.
