Erwin Kuipers

Erwin Kuipers is a Senior Acoustic Research Engineer at Phonak since April 2014, focusing on hearing aid innovations in acoustics through simulations and measurements. Prior experience includes a significant role as a sound and vibration engineer at Schindler from July 2000 to October 2009, where multibody simulations and sound testing were key responsibilities. Erwin also contributed to the development of elevator components and conducted finite element analysis at DAF Trucks NV between July 1998 and October 1999. Initial engineering experience includes work with NedTrain, analyzing specifications and designing low noise freight wagons from February 1997 to June 1998. After completing a PhD in Acoustics at the University of Twente in 2013, Erwin took a six-month world travel break with family. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente and further studies at ETH Zürich.
