Ruchi Gupta

Ruchi Gupta currently serves as an Associate Director and Policy Lead for Payments at PhonePe, a position held since January 2024. Previously, Ruchi held the role of Assistant General Manager at the Reserve Bank of India from February 2012 to October 2023, where significant responsibilities included conducting risk-based regulatory inspections and compliance testing for banks, as well as assessing various banking controls and practices. Ruchi also participated in a critical project evaluating banking license applications during a special assignment in 2013-14. Earlier experience includes working as a Senior Executive in Internal Audit at Wipro and serving as an intern at H.C Khincha and Co, focusing on income tax accounting and audits. Ruchi holds a Chartered Accountant degree and has completed additional financial qualifications, including a CFA Level II certification.
