Valeri Valtchev is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the financial technology sector. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Paynetics since 2015, Valeri leads an e-money institution that provides comprehensive payment services across the EU. As Co-Founder of Phos, Valeri has developed the first software POS solution for NFC-enabled devices. In addition to these roles, Valeri is a Board Member at phyre JSC, which offers a mobile app for contactless payments and loyalty card management, and serves as Chairman of the Management Board for the Bulgarian Fintech Association. Valeri is also the Founder and Non-Executive Director of WGCapital, focusing on private equity investments. Previous positions include Managing Partner at Innimmo, where Valeri advised on M&A and corporate finance, and Managing Partner at Forton/Cushman&Wakefield Alliance, a top commercial property advisory firm in Bulgaria. Valeri holds a Master of Laws degree from Sofia University and has pursued additional studies at Columbia Law School.
