Davey Shafik

Davey Shafik has extensive experience in software development and engineering, currently serving as a Release Manager for PHP since 2000, where co-led the release of PHP 7.1. Prior roles include Senior Staff Engineer at BlackCart, Staff Developer Advocate at Lyft, and Principal Developer Evangelist at Akamai Technologies. Additionally, Davey worked as a Community Engineer at Engine Yard and Lead Developer at Digital Architecture, Inc., contributing to application design and development. Experience also includes a consultancy role at Zend Technologies and owning Synaptic Media, where involvement extended to managerial responsibilities. Davey holds a BTEC National Diploma in Computing from Leicester College.
