Cara Sullivan is an experienced professional with a strong background in state advocacy and legislative affairs. Currently serving as Chief of Staff for State Advocacy at PhRMA since November 2020, Cara previously held significant roles in the Office of Governor Larry Hogan, including Deputy Legislative Officer and Special Assistant, from August 2016 to November 2020. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Policy and Planning at the Maryland Governor's Office of Crime Control & Prevention from June 2015 to August 2016, and Director of the Commerce, Insurance and Economic Development Task Force and Justice Performance Project at the American Legislative Exchange Council from June 2011 to June 2015. Cara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Law from Lafayette College.
