Ankur Arora

Ankur Arora has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ankur co-founded ShopG, a social commerce platform aimed at revolutionizing online shopping for customers in India. At ShopG, they led the product, growth, analytics, and design teams and successfully raised a seed round of funding. Under their leadership, ShopG achieved a significant customer base, high customer retention, and impressive GMV ARR.

Prior to ShopG, Ankur worked at Clear as a VP, where they built and led a 400-member team and played a key role in the launch and scaling of the GST and mutual fund products. Ankur also contributed to building the Cleartax brand and educated businesses and accountants on GST regulations.

Ankur's experience also includes their role as the Head of Category Function and Head of Online Business at Simplilearn.com, where they championed the launch of the online self-learning business, achieving $12 million in ARR within a year.

Earlier in their career, Ankur served as the Head of Products at HCL Infosystems Ltd and co-founded GyaanMantra, a company focused on providing testing and assessment services for educational institutions. At GyaanMantra, they conducted extensive research, created strategic partnerships, and developed marketing strategies to expand the business.

Ankur Arora began their education at Apeejay School with no specified degree or field of study. Later, they attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 2000 to 2005, where they pursued a dual degree in BTech Electrical Engineering and MTech Information and Communications Technology. Following this, Ankur attended the Indian School of Business from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Management with a specialization in Marketing and Finance.
