Heidi Mao has over 10 years of work experience in industrial design and full-stack development. From 2013-2018, they worked for Compal as an Industrial Designer, where they proposed creative solutions for mainstream 2-spindle laptop and hybrid laptop/tablet designs for clients such as Dell, HP, Acer, Asus and Lenovo. Heidi also developed two projects for 2-in-1 hybrid laptop/tablet with patented hinge design. From 2010-2013, they worked for Jazz Hipster Corporation as an Industrial Designer, where they planned a new product line, created innovative acoustic solutions for different ODM and OEM clients, and proposed and implemented mass-production solutions for different materials. From 2018-present, they work for PHYSEE Technologies as a Full-stack Developer, where they design and implements data routing systems that communicate between local LoRa end nodes and Azure Cloud services, and designs a Node.js service to collect sensor data, calculate blind positions, apply blinds scheduling, handle UDP messages and connect with client web interfaces. Additionally, they are a Front End Development Intern, where they design and develops EESYapp 2.0.
Heidi Mao obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Product Design from Shih Chien University between 2006 and 2010. Heidi then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Design for Interaction from Delft University of Technology between 2015 and 2017.
