Lawrence Liu has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an Honor Guard for the Republic of China Air Force in 2015. Lawrence then worked as an Engineering Intern at Jing Day Machinery Industrial Co. in 2012, where they assisted in the quality assurance phase of the manufacturing process and compiled data taken from safety tests. In 2014, they worked as an R&D Process Engineer at Ichia Technologies Inc. In the same year, they also worked as an Intern at aQysta. In 2017, they worked as an Intern at the NCKU Research Center for Energy Technology and Strategy. In 2018, they worked as an Electrical Design Engineer at MOR Team TU Delft, where they designed and built a functional, highly efficient residential housing prototype powered by renewable energy. In 2019, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Technische Universiteit Delft. Currently, they are working as an Electrical System Engineer at PHYSEE Technologies, where they are engineering coating, solar, and sensor solutions for the global energy transition.
Lawrence Liu attended Blair Academy from 2007 to 2010, obtaining their high school diploma. Lawrence then attended Washington University in St. Louis from 2010 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Most recently, they attended Delft University of Technology from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Technology.
