Hari Rentala is currently the Head of Learning and Skills at the Institute of Physics, where they focus on improving equity of access to quality physics education and addressing the technical skills gap in the field. Previously, Hari served in various roles at the Department for Transport, including Policy Lead for EU rail market competition policy and Head of the Rail Minister’s private office. They also worked as a Senior Policy Adviser at the Cabinet Office and held other positions there. Hari holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from The University of Manchester, awarded with First Class honors.
