Katherine Platt

Katherine Platt is a skilled project manager and team leader currently overseeing the activities of the Institute of Physics in the North West. With experience as a Family Learning Assistant at Manchester Museum and as an Assistant Curator for the Science Museum Group, they have a strong background in educational programming and event coordination. Katherine holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in the History of Science and another in Pollution and Environmental Control, both from The University of Manchester. Additionally, they served as the Project/Programme Manager at the University of Manchester, where they coordinated significant events like the Great Science Share for Schools. Currently, they are managing the International Year of Quantum initiative while fostering collaborations with physicists and local organizations.
