Nigel Wright

CPhys registration panel member (volunteer)

Nigel Wright is a retired Programme Manager at Thales Alenia Space UK, with extensive experience in leading significant projects related to climate monitoring and space technology. During their tenure at Systems Engineering and Assessment Ltd, Nigel managed various EarthCARE projects and held critical roles in developing instruments such as the BroadBand Radiometer and the Multi-Spectral Instrument. Nigel has also contributed to the engineering management of notable missions including the Hubble Space Telescope and Rosetta. Currently, they volunteer as an alumni mentor at the University of Bristol and serve as a Professional Registration Advisor with the Institute of Physics, supporting candidates in their professional engineering registration. Nigel holds a PhD, BSc, and MSc, all in Chemical Physics and Engineering Management from the University of Bristol.
