Joye Shannon has been working in the software engineering field since 2012. Joye began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Cyber Infrastructure Research and Development Lab for the Earth Sciences, developing an Android application. Joye then served as a Student Tutor at the College of Charleston in 2013 and a Summer Conference Assistant in 2012. In 2012, Joye was selected as one of 15 participants for the Georgia Tech SURE program, where they worked with material scientists to develop an Android application. Joye then worked at ThoughtWorks as an Associate Consultant Developer, Senior Consultant Developer, and Consultant Developer from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, Joye moved to Rangle.io as a Senior Software Developer, and in 2020, they joined Tensure Consulting as an Application Delivery Line Practice Director + Lead Developer and Senior Developer. Finally, Joye currently works as a Software Engineer at Physna.
Joye Shannon attended Mayo Magnet School for Math, Science and Technology from 2007 to 2011. Joye then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the College of Charleston in 2015.
