Gian Allen-Piccolo

Gian Allen-Piccolo is currently the Director of Hardware Development at Jain Irrigation Inc., where responsibilities include new hardware design, firmware development, and supply chain management. Gian has a Master's degree in Public Health with a focus on Environmental Health and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology – Biochemistry, both from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to this role, Gian served as a Systems Product Manager at PureSense and a Scientist/Engineer at EME Systems, contributing to hardware design and custom electronic system development. In graduate school, Gian collaborated with Professor Kirk R. Smith on assessing particulate exposure from indoor cooking stoves in developing nations, employing innovative solutions to improve monitoring technologies.
