Yoav S.

Yoav S. has a diverse work experience in the agricultural sector. Yoav began their career in 2010 as a Head Agronomist and Manager at Shavit Farm- Agricultural Productions, where they were responsible for establishing agricultural infrastructures, planting, fertilization, pest-detection, and installation of large scale irrigation systems. Yoav also managed a team of 5-10 workers. In 2016, Yoav S. earned their M.Sc. Graduate degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they conducted precision agriculture research with emphasis on plant physiology and spectroscopy, as well as routine data sampling and statistical analysis using machine-learning algorithms. In 2020, Yoav S. joined The Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Junior Specialist, where they conducted exploratory data analysis and machine learning modelling using python and R programming, as well as prediction models of nutrients content using hyperspectral data. Currently, Yoav S. is a Product Manager at Phytech - Plant-Based Farming.

Yoav S. completed a B.Sc. degree in Plant Sciences at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2014 to 2016. Yoav then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Plant Physiology and Remote Sensing at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2016 to 2018.
