Hello, I am Kateryna, or Katya for short. I’m a student at Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a kids piano coach aiming to grow brilliant, balanced minds.

🌱 In my studio I fuse an enjoyable practice routine— swift, game-based tasks that keep short- and long-term motivation with the lifelong habits of discipline and goal setting.

🧠 What the neuroscience says:
• MRI work shows children who begin piano before age 7 develop a thicker corpus callosum—the “data highway” between hemispheres — boosting coordination and executive skills.
• Longitudinal studies also report larger grey-matter volume in auditory-motor and prefrontal areas after just 1-2 years of instrumental training; gains tied to sharper rhythm, language and self-control.

👀👂Every lesson is a full-brain workout:
• ear-training drills
• rhythm-movement games
• score-reading from Day 1 (no “play-by-rote”)
• multisensory memory training that combines aural, visual, muscle and mixed types of memory.

👐 Technique matters!
I build each child’s “pianistic apparatus” on two pillars: the Canadian concert pianist Alan Fraser’s Pianimals — a children’s piano method, the adaptation of PianoSomatics — a Feldenkrais-based, body-aware path to relaxed physiological piano playing. The second pillar is the acclaimed System of a Russian concert pianist Tatiana Bezmenova, famed for unlocking effortless virtuosity.

🚫 No online lessons for children: emotional connection, healthy posture and touch demand real-time, hands-on guidance.
