Juha Rantala

Juha Rantala has a diverse and extensive work experience in various industries. Juha started their career in 2000 as a Founder and Investor in the Semiconductors and Photonics field. In 2008, they became a Partner and Investor in Greenlux Finland Oy, a leading producer of industrial LED luminaires. From 2009 to 2021, they co-founded and invested in Valoya, a company specializing in LED technology and plant photobiology research. In 2012, they founded Inkron, a developer and manufacturer of key enabling ink technologies. In 2014, they founded PiBond, a global technology leader in inorganic semiconductor patterning materials. Juha also served as a member of the Board of Directors at JOT Automation from 2014 to 2017. In 2018, they became a Founding Partner at Koite Health Oy, a technology company developing photodynamic therapy-based products for oral health care. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Founding Partner at Promilless, a company focused on non-invasive body substance rapid diagnostics. Additionally, they held an adjunct professor role in Materials Chemistry at the University of Oulu since 2000, supervising MSc and PhD degrees. Juha Rantala has a strong background in technology and entrepreneurship, with expertise in semiconductors, photonics, LED technology, and industrial manufacturing.

Juha Rantala completed their MSc degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oulu. Juha attended the university from 1993 to 1996. Following this, Juha pursued a PhD in Chemistry from the same institution. Juha was enrolled in the PhD program from 1996 to 1999.
